Daniel was Group Chief Executive Officer of Klöckner Pentaplast Group (KP) until December 2018 and was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LINPAC Packaging from 2015 until its acquisition by KP in June 2017. From 2014 to 2016, he was non-executive Chairman of the Nonwovens Innovation and Research Institute Ltd and, from 2005-2013, was Chief Executive Officer of global non-woven fabrics producer, Fiberweb PLC. Daniel has also been director of listed businesses Chemring plc and Stobart Group plc in the past and was also Chairman of Chemring’s remuneration committee. His earlier experience was at Novar PLC, Arthur D. Little and ICI PLC. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from Cambridge University.
Group Chief Financial Officer
Previously Ian was Chief Financial Officer of Labviva LLC, a US-based technology company. Ian worked for twenty years at Smith & Nephew plc until December 2017, undertaking various financial roles of increasing seniority in the UK, the US and China. His last role was Chief Financial Officer, Global Operations, and prior to that Ian served as Chief Financial Officer of their Advance surgical Devices Division. Ian is qualified as a chartered accountant and began his career at Ernst & Young.
Regional Director Colbond APAC
Alex joined Low & Bonar as the China Country Manager in 2014. Prior to that he worked in various senior management roles including general manager. Over the past 16 years he has worked for BlueSCope Steel, Berker GmbH & Co. KG and Alcan Group in China. Alex has significant experience in sales & marketing and new business development. He also has experience of procurement, customer service and logistic.
Since joining Low & Bonar Alex has established a very capable organisation and manufacturing facility in Changzhou, China and is the senior executive representative of Low & Bonar in the APAC region. He also oversees activities in APAC including maintaining and improving key relationships in the region, driving business growth and developing and optimising resources in line with company strategy.
Alex holds a degree in Civil and Structural Engineering from Tongji University, China.
Group HR Director
Gavin joined Low & Bonar in May 2019 having gained extensive HR, Executive and Remuneration Committee experience across a variety of major manufacturing environments. Gavin has developed expertise in talent management, reward and benefits and organisational development prior to taking on overall HR responsibility. Gavin has formerly undertaken roles at GEC-Marconi Ltd (now BAE Systems), Chloride Group PLC, Emerson Network Power and for the last 5 years at Essentra PLC.
Among Gavin’s qualifications he possesses an MSc in Human Resources Management, is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development as well as holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel.
Regional Director Colbond Americas
Clark is a global sales, marketing & business development executive with more than 25 years of experience. He developed expertise in global business intelligence, strategic planning, and commercial leadership during tenures with divisions of United States Steel, BF Goodrich, Qannex and Performance Fibers (formerly Honeywell/Allied Signal). In addition, he was a management investor and served on the leadership team of TruSeal Technologies a specialty chemical business created following the acquisition of Tremco Inc.’s Window Markets division by Kirtland Capital Partners.
Clark joined Low & Bonar in 2013 and serves as the Global Business Director for the Building and Industrial Division and the North American Sales and Marketing Director. In his dual role, Clark leads the strategic planning process and technical B2B sales and marketing efforts for a diverse group of industrial, technical textile, and high performance building product industries.
A graduate of Duke University, Clark also holds a Masters of Business Administration in Financial Management from Southeastern University.
Group Business Improvement Director
Jan is a graduate of Business Administration at the Free University of Amsterdam and is also a qualified accountant. He joined Low and Bonar in October 2016. He has more than 25 years of experience in Finance, gained in a variety of different companies. Previously Jan spent seven years at Akzo Nobel and held various financial positions both in the Netherlands and Germany. Prior to joining Low and Bonar Jan spent 9 years as CFO at Verosol, a manufacturer of interior blinds, where he amongst other things was responsible for the delisting from the Dutch stock exchange.
Global Business Director, Coated Technical Textiles
Johann joined Low & Bonar in November 2017 from Rollepaal, a Dutch capital goods manufacturer, where he was Chief Commercial Officer focusing on the plastic pipe industry.
He has extensive international commercial leadership experience in B2B markets having worked in Fokker Aviation and the railway industry before moving to the global fibre business with both Diolen Industrial Fibers (formerly Acordis/Akzo Nobel Fibers) and Performance Fibers (Luxemburg).
He is a graduate of University of Hertfordshire (MBA, 2002) and INSEAD.
Regional Director Colbond EMEA
Monique is a graduate of Industrial Management & Engineering at the University of Twente and joined Low & Bonar in January 2019 from her role as Director Operations Glass Reinforcements EU at Owens Corning Inc, a NYSE listed company in the building sector. Monique spent 14 years at Owens Corning Inc in various senior international positions in which she led teams and gained manufacturing sector experience. Prior to this Monique worked for Kendrion N.V, a Dutch multinational listed on the Amsterdam stock exchange.
