Executive Management team
Steve Good
Group Chief Executive - Appointed as a Director and Group Chief Executive in September 2009. Joined Low & Bonar in 2004 serving first as the Managing Director of its Plastics Division until its sale in 2005, and then as Director of New Business helping to shape the Group's strategy. Since 2006 he has been Managing Director of the Technical Textiles Division which has been the sole business activity of Low & Bonar since the disposal of the Floors Division in 2008. Prior to joining Low & Bonar he spent ten years with Clariant (formerly BTP plc) in a variety of leadership positions managing international speciality chemical businesses. He is a chartered accountant.
Jan van Boldrik
Chief Executive Officer of Colbond - Started with Akzo Nobel in 1983. After performing various sales and marketing positions both in Europe and in the USA he was appointed CEO in March 1998 and chairman of the Management Team of Colbond.
Orwig Speltdoorn
Managing Director of Fabrics - Appointed as CEO of Bonar Technical Fabrics group in 2005. Previously held senior management positions in different companies within the European technical textile industry.
Dr. Stefan Geyler
Managing Director of Mehler Texnologies - Appointed as Managing Director of Mehler Texnologies GmbH in February 2007. For many years at the helm of a high-tech medical supplier. Held various roles within Akzo Nobel b.v., including Business Unit Manager, Sales Director and Vice President Operations. Member of different business associations such as INSEAD and similar.
Norbert Verfaillie
Director of New Business - Joined the Group in 1999. Prior to joining he held positions as Director and General Manager of a Belgian carpet manufacturer and various other general management and senior manufacturing positions within both a Belgian company and a major US company.
Mike Holt
Group Finance Director - Joined Low & Bonar in November 2010. A chartered accountant, he was previously Group Finance Director of Vp plc for six years and, prior to that, held a number of senior financial positions with Rolls-Royce Group plc within the UK, the USA and Hong Kong.
Rob van der Valk
Chief Financial Officer of Colbond and Yarns - Started with Akzo Nobel in 1985. After several accounting and controlling positions within Akzo Nobel he became Finance Director at Magnus Holding in 2000. In 2003 he returned to Colbond as CFO.

Simon Dray
Deputy Group Finance Director - Responsible for managing the Group statutory and management reporting, budgeting and business planning and analysis, tax and treasury operations; reporting to the Group Finance Director. He spent seven years as Group Financial Controller with Halma p.l.c. before joining Low & Bonar in August 2008. Prior to Halma, he held senior finance positions with Filofax Group Ltd, LASMO plc and Wace Group PLC. Simon qualified as a chartered accountant with Touche Ross in 1994 and has a degree in Biochemistry and Pharmacology from Southampton University.
Simon O’Gorman
Group Tax Manager - Appointed as Group Tax Manager in May 2006. A chartered accountant, he was previously Group Tax Manager of The Polestar Group Limited (for over 3 years). Prior to that he held various tax positions at Electrolux Ltd, the UK arm of the Swedish listed Electrolux Group (for over 10 years).
Mike Briggs
Head of Internal Audit - Appointed as Head of Internal Audit in July 2007. A Chartered Accountant, held similar roles with Britax and Kidde plc before joining Low and Bonar. Prior to this he worked in a number of financial management roles across diverse business sectors, including Lafarge, Boots, and Fisons (now part of Astra Zeneca).
