Low & Bonar PLC today announced that its Floors Division has been awarded a major new contract to supply the Ministry of Defence (MoD).
The contract, which will commence in the latter part of the company’s financial year, is for the provision of a fully comprehensive range of floor coverings and associated services for the MoD’s refurbishment requirements in the UK and overseas. Worth an estimated £30 million over three years - and comprising both Bonar Floors and third party product - it is one of the largest single flooring contracts ever awarded in Europe.
Commenting on the announcement, Paul Forman, Group Chief Executive, said:
“We are delighted to have been awarded this contract and see it as a positive reflection of the overall quality of our products and services to the flooring market. Securing this contract further enhances the Bonar Floors business within the UK and will help the Division achieve its long term goal of being a leading European flooring manufacturer.”
