From our origins in Derbyshire within the UK, we have grown to become a leader in the European contract flooring sector. We are a business to business organization focused on working with architects, contractors, distributors and end users, primarily within the contract flooring sector. The company’s success has been driven by over 30 years of experience in partnering with our customers to provide tailored solutions to their needs.

We have some of the best known brands within the contract flooring market: Flotex (electrostatic flocked flooring), Tessera (tufted carpet tiles), Westbond (Fusion bonded carpet tiles), Chocflex (acoustic vinyl), Coral (textile entrance matting), Nuway (rigid entrance matting) and Threshold (textile and rigid entrance matting). Our wide product portfolio means that we work with customers in sectors as wide-ranging as healthcare, education, transport, hospitality, leisure, offices, public sector and retail.

Our tailored solutions range from customised designs of our products to complete packages like our contract with the Ministry of Defence in the UK to co-ordinate the supply of their flooring requirements. This encompasses both our own products and complementary products from other flooring suppliers.

The company now has seven manufacturing facilities across Europe in the UK (Ripley, Barnsley, Telford, Preston (2)), France (Chateau Renault) and Holland (Krommenie). In addition, we have sales offices in Germany and China and work closely with partners who sell our product in over 40 countries.

The products

Flotex is a unique product, made by a specialized electrostatic flocking process which has been developed over the past 30 years. It is a compelling alternative to both carpet and vinyl in applications that require the warmth of textile in combination with outstanding easy clean properties, unique durability and high appearance retention. Flotex is used in all sectors, but particularly office, healthcare and education where we work in partnership with key specifiers. Bonar Floors is the recognized world leader in flocked floorcoverings.

Tessera offers an unrivalled portfolio of design-led, hardwearing carpet tiles to suit all commercial interiors. Tessera was formed in 2003 on the merger of Modulus Flooring Systems and Gaskell Carpet Tiles. We are now the second largest carpet tile supplier in the UK, and one of the largest in Europe. The business has continually grown through working closely with its flooring contractor, architect and end user customers. In addition to the 28 diverse ranges in our standard and G2 collections, our designers work with key customers to create customized solutions for particular applications.

Westbond specialise in high value fusion bonded carpet tiles offered with unrivalled colour flexibility and choice for architects, designers and clients. The unique production process makes it possible for customers to order any combination of colour or texture from 1m2, which means that a perfect tailor-made solution can be provided for any location.

Chocflex is a vinyl floorcovering with acoustic backing for heavy traffic areas where durability, sound absorption and low maintenance costs are key considerations. Chocflex is available in sheet, tile and staircoverings. With the exclusive Vitnet anti soiling treatment it is the ideal solution with over 50 designs and colourways to choose from.

Coral is one of our three entrance system brands. There continues to be increasing acceptance of the need for entrance systems to protect the appearance and reduce the maintenance costs of flooring within a building. Each clean-off system within the Coral range is tailored to different applications and they are available either as an integrated entrance system or as individual mats. Coral is the brand leader in most of the markets in which we operate.

Nuway has been at the forefront of specialist heavy traffic entrance flooring technology for over 75 years and is committed to providing innovative state of the art products to meet customer needs. All products within the range have a unique design, specifically engineered to remove dirt and moisture at the point of entry. Everyday Nuway performs in numerous demanding situations: Airports, Hotels, Offices, Supermarkets, Retail Parks, Public Buildings and throughout the Leisure and Manufacturing industries.

Threshold is a new entrant to the Bonar Floors portfolio and brings with it a coordinated range of rigid and textile matting products. The originator of 80/20 wool/nylon textile matting technology, Threshold compliments the Coral and Nuway ranges in both appearance and performance. With over 30 years in the marketplace, Threshold is a proven and trusted provider of entrance flooring solutions in broadloom, tile and rigid matting options to the private and public sectors.
